For over 35 years, Spruce Knob Mt. Ctr. has served as TMI’s base for outdoor education programs, applied research, conservation, demonstration, and training initiatives, and myriad of other activities, all designed to conserve and promote mountain environments and culture. Educational programs are offered for all ages, and generally run from mid-March to mid-November. Throughout the year, the property is supervised by the full-time program officer, who lives on site with his family. Most other program staff resides at the center during the active season. |
